Nicky Inglis - Director of Curriculum – Business, Science, Technology & Wellbeing
Nicky is the Director of Curriculum – Business, Science, Technology and Wellbeing and has worked in the tertiary education sector for over 30 years. He has held various posts over his 30-year career; ranging from Engineering Technician, Lecturer, Curriculum Manager, Head of Department and in his last role - Director of Faculty for Engineering, Science, Technology and Built Environment.
In his current role Nicky sets and oversees the strategic direction and vision of the Business, Science, Technology and Wellbeing teams and the design and delivery of a modern, innovative, agile and fit for purpose curriculum that meets the needs of the regional and wider economy.
The support of the Sector Managers and Sector Leaders is crucial in ensuring that the courses and partnerships are relevant, sector leading and innovative and work in synergy to provide the highest level of service to internal and external stakeholders. Nicky is an advocate of the learner being at the centre of learning and teaching and that learner and stakeholder experience and feedback is paramount in developing future, engaging, relevant, flexible, and innovative curriculum. Nicky plays a leading role in promoting STEM and is a committed advocate for the College’s extensive Schools/College STEM programmes.
Outside of work, Nicky enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a keen golfer and hillwalker and spends time outdoors as often as the weather allows.
