Richard has almost 10 years’ experience as an HR professional from roles in both the private and public sector.
Prior to joining UHI Perth, Richard worked in various retail management positions before transferring those skills to a career in HR with an outdoor education provider. He is passionate about mental health and wellbeing, advocating for this through his additional role as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor with Public Health Scotland.
After over 6 years in the HR Team at UHI Perth, he currently holds the position of Assistant HR & OD Business Partner. In his spare time Richard is a keen runner, frequenting his local Parkrun on a Saturday morning as well as having completed the Dundee Half Marathon in the summer of 2024.
