Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champions

UHI Perth aims to provide a working and learning environment which is fair, supportive, welcoming and inclusive where staff and students can fulfil their full potential. The establishment of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Champions, made up of a mixture of academic and professional services staff from across the College, is an important initiative for UHI Perth in support of this aim.

Working in collaboration with the Organisational Development & Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Adviser, the role of the Champions is to:

• Influence and inform their department
• Raise awareness of the importance of EDI considerations in decision making within their department
• Act as a conduit for information on equality initiatives
• Celebrate success and developments
• Support their sector/department in equality initiatives
• Assist in preventing inappropriate attitudes and behaviours
• Feed back into the College structure
