What is special about this course?
This course is designed to provide skills and knowledge for people interested in furthering their career in Hospitality and provides a progression route to other Hospitality courses and programmes.
Aimed primarily at school leavers, the course is at Level 6 and will provide learning opportunities in UHI Perth within our Hospitality and Food Studies department.
Existing students can progress to this course and gain a NQ.
Experience within a live, practical training environment - The Gallery Restaurant and kitchens will give you transferable skills to enhance your career in Hospitality or other career paths.
Entry requirements
NPA in Hospitality at SCQF L6; or NQ or NC in Hospitality at SCQF L5; or relevant SVQ’s at SCQF L5. Alternatively, relevant industry experience.
This year- long practical based programme includes: Customer Care Excellence in Hospitality, Hospitality Industry, Food and Beverage Operations, Leading a Hospitality Team, Barista Skill, Food Service Styles and Professional Cookery and many more related subjects.

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.
Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
What can I do on completion of my course?
This course provides the skills and knowledge requires for progression to successful higher level study, including HNC Hospitality Management or HNC Professional Cookery, then possibly onto Hospitality Management degree.
