What is special about this course?
NQ Applied Science SQCF level 5 will help you progress towards your career goals in science and health-related professions. The course will prepare you for studying Applied Science at SCQF level 6, helping you make the transition to higher levels of education with confidence and success.
Entry requirements
Applicants should have an SCQF level 4 qualification in Biology, Chemistry or Maths (the Application of Maths is acceptable for this course).
Applicants who do not hold a relevant qualification but have demonstrated an ability to achieve at this level may still apply. If selected for an interview applicants will be required to take an aptitude test.
The selection process will include a discussion of your application and you should be able to show a clear interest in pursuing a career in this field.
NQ Applied Science contains SCQF level 4 and 5 units in a range of Science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science, as well as Practical skills and Microbiology. You will also study units in Maths, ICT and Communication.
