Professional Cookery (Preparation and Cooking) SVQ3
What is special about this course?
Learn while you work with Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) and Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs). Modern apprenticeships in Scotland are available for people who are aged over 16 and in employment. With on-the-job training and regular meetings in the workplace you can gain a recognised qualification without studying full-time. Funding for MAs can be gained from Skills Development Scotland.
If you want to earn and learn and further develop your chef skills in the workplace, this is the course for you. Work based learning allows you to develop skills and knowledge and therefore gain a qualification whilst you are working in the kitchen.
The hospitality industry never stops, so will be of interest for those who are hard working and want an exciting, fast-paced career. It may be difficult to get time off to study so this offers an opportunity to develop your kitchen skills to a more advanced level and gain a qualification, investing in yourself for the future.
