Group to showcase benefits of ‘clean’ technology
Group re-launched to promote public and private sector initiatives in clean technologies.
Members of the EcoTechnic board (formerly PKGTBA, also known as Perth & Kinross Green Technology Business Accelerator) met for the first time last month. The group has been re-launched to promote public and private sector initiatives in clean technologies. This takes into account services, products and processes which have minimum waste output and require as few non-renewable resources as possible. There are a range of companies at the forefront of clean technologies such as Perth College UHI, Stagecoach, Binn Group, Perth & Kinross Council, SSE and Scottish Enterprise.
The aim of EcoTechnic is to inform and support business in capitalising on advances and economic benefits of clean technology. As part of the larger Tay Eco Valley Group, EcoTechnic is involved in the promotion and research of low carbon technologies including waste management and the circular economy, micro-hydro generation, district heating, transport, biomass and the associated supply chains.
