New Principal Appointment

Grant Myles, Chairman of the Board of Perth College UHI is delighted to announce that Dr Margaret Cook has been appointed Principal and Chief Executive and will take up her new position in the Summer.

Dr Margaret Cook is currently the Chair of the Glasgow Colleges' Regional Board and is a Human Resource specialist with extensive experience in the higher education sector, having spent 20 years as HR Director at Bell College, Heriot-Watt University and Edinburgh Napier University.

Margaret will be taking over from the current Principal and Chief Executive, Margaret Munckton who retires in the Summer.

Grant said:  “I am delighted that Dr Margaret Cook is joining us.  Margaret has significant experience of both further and higher education in Scotland. She has operated successfully in senior Executive and non-Executive roles. Given the tertiary nature of Perth College UHI Margaret's experience and skills will be a great asset not only to Perth College but to the wider University of the Highlands and Islands Partnership.”

Margaret said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the role and am looking forward to working closely with colleagues in the College and in the wider University network.”
