Perth College UHI supports Diverse CiTay Festival
Excitement is growing over Perth’s Diverse CiTay Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday 23 June.
The celebration of young people will kick off with a vibrant two inch carnival; a procession of floats from South Inch to North Inch, organised by Perth College UHI and Perth and Kinross Council.
If you work with young people and would be interested in taking part in the procession, contact diversecitay.perth@uhi.ac.uk for more details. We would also like to hear from any local businesses who could help with floats, particularly providing flatbed lorries; low loaders or trailers which groups can use. This is a great opportunity to showcase not only the talent of local young people but also local businesses, charity groups and clubs; who in return for their support can expect a fantastic opportunity for promotion to an expected audience of over 10,000 people.
Prince Honeysett, President of Highlands and Islands Students’ Association (HISA) Perth commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the achievements of young people.
“We already have some great businesses involved, and it’s fantastic to also see involvement from Perth College UHI students, as well as youth groups from across Perth and Kinross.”
