Schools College Partnership

Applications will open on Monday 17 February 2025.

UHI Perth works closely with all Senior Secondary schools in Perth and Kinross to respond to local and national employment opportunities through both vocational and academic paths. Each year between 400 and 500 young people take a Schools College Partnership as part of their school timetable.

The Schools College Partnership allows pupils a greater choice in a variety of subject areas, to develop practical, vocational and academic skills. The courses are delivered in college as well as schools, and some programmes are online. Being involved with studying at college as part of your school timetable, makes it easier when the time comes for the transition from school to further learning or employment.

Whilst attending courses at college your attendance and progress is monitored and reported back to your school, as part of your normal curriculum.

All of our School College Partnership courses can lead to further study at College, University or to employment. There are many benefits to undertaking a course while still at school, and doing so has helped a large number of young people on the path to a successful career.

If you're considering a Foundation Apprenticeship for your senior years at school, read more about them over on our blog.

Schools/College Partnership news and updates will be posted throughout the year.
