What is homestay provision?

Our Homestay providers scheme offers International students the opportunity to live with a local Homestay provider while they are studying at UHI Perth. It allows them to have a first-hand look at Scottish culture in a safe and homely environment whilst at the same time improving their English skills. In return, our Homestay providers can learn about other cultures, have a bustling household and a small additional income.

Our Homestay provider scheme is accredited by the British Council and therefore we ensure that the highest standards and regulations are being met. Our providers live within Perth and its surrounds, and would not usually be more than a £4 'day rider' bus ticket away. 

Overall, the Homestay scheme is a rewarding experience for both students and Homestay providers.
