The Student Records team would like to welcome you to UHI Perth! We are delighted that you will be joining us in September!
The Student Records team work together and in collaboration with each of the Sectors to support the learning experience of UHI Perth students across a wide range of programmes, from access level programmes up to post graduate.
We provide services and support in relation to a wide range of areas such as:
- Enrolment
- ID Cards
- Module registrations
- Time-tabling

Access to Our IT Facilities
Access to Our IT Facilities
To access any of our IT facilities, you must remember your Student ID Number which will be your username. If you are joining the College for the first time, an automated password will be provided to you when you are invited to enrol online. For security reasons it is important that you change your password regularly.
WIFI is available throughout the premises. Have a look at our webpage on accessing computers.
Enrolling
Enrolling
Enrolling is the administrative task of becoming a student at Perth College UHI. You will be invited via email to enrol online. Once you have successfully enrolled, the course has commenced and participation/attendance has been confirmed we will notify associated third parties (e.g. Bursaries, Student Loans, SAAS) who will then release any money due to you that you have applied and been successful for.

For academic year 2020/21 your Student ID is now available in electronic format on your phone or device using the app available in the student MyDay portal or via the Student Hub in UHI Records.
Photo Upload
If you did not upload a photo during the online enrolment process then you can add one now. Firstly, log into your ‘MyDay’ account and select the ‘UHI Records’ tile.
Once you have accessed the Student Hub home page scroll down to find the link (left hand side) and follow the on screen instructions.
After you have uploaded your photo it must be approved by the Student Records Team before it will be visible on your ID.
Electronic Student ID App
In the MyDay portal, please scroll down to the tiles for Perth College and on the right hand side of the screen you will see:
Simply click on this tile to be taken to the UHI Records page where you can set up your virtual ID card. This will allow you all the same benefits as your previous card but with the ease of having it available on your phone or device at all times.
If there are any issues, please let us know by logging a UniDesk ticket using the UHI Records Tile.

Perth College UHI collects and uses information (data) about its students and stores it in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation. Once you have enrolled yourself online, you will see an option to ‘pick your modules’. It is expected that you will undertake all mandatory modules but you can select your options if you are studying on a Part-time basis, then you must contact your PAT (Personal Academic Tutor) to discuss your selection. Once confirmed your PAT will notify the Study Selection team with your choices.
Applying for funding/financial support?
Applying for funding/financial support?
For HE Students (e.g. HNC, HND and Degree) – who would qualify for SAAS/SLC funding (including Part Time Fee Grants), if you have not already applied we would encourage you to do so now via the SAAS website. If you do not receive any sponsorship to cover the costs of your tuition fees, you are liable for payment.

For FE Students (e.g. NCs, NQs, NPAs) – if you are a full-time student and qualify as a Home/EU student excluding RUK, your fees are waived by the Scottish Government. All other students are liable for the payment of your fees. To support you in your studies, you may be eligible for a Bursary or EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance) via UHI Records
Part time students may be entitled to fee waivers but this is dependent upon means tested benefits. Part time students may also be eligible for ITA (Individual Training Account) myworldofwork.co.uk, however this sponsorship needs to be in place before the start date of the course.

You can put into place arrangements for paying your fees now. Please contact the Student Records Team on 01738 877357 / 877295 and speak with a member of the team. Alternatively, you can email pefees.perth@uhi.ac.uk. Instalment plans may be available to you but for a limited period only,therefore, if this applies to you, it is in your best interests to set up a payment plan as soon as possible.
If you are ever in receipt of an invoice for fees followed up by a statement, please do not ignore this, it will have an impact on your future studies, certification and graduation.

From Day 1, you have access to your own record via UHI Records. It is important that you keep your record up to date, allowing contact to be made effectively including any certificates of achievement to be delivered to your correct home address. If you are an EU student and are ordinarily resident outside Scotland, you must provide us with your Scottish Term Time Address. Failure to disclose this could lead to additional fees being charged to you.
If you already have a Scottish Candidate Number through the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), please remember to share this with us. This will ensure that any SQA awards you do with us are added onto your whole SQA record.

Examinations are a very crucial time for you and we want to make sure that on the day of your exams (if applicable) everything runs smoothly. The Student Records Team work very closely with the Additional Support Team and they will forward on to us any additional support arrangements that need to be implemented during this time. It is therefore important that at the start of each academic year you make contact with the Additional Support Team to produce or review your personal learning support plan. Your plan is not automatically rolled over from year to year. If you are sitting examinations, Photo ID is now required. Acceptable forms of ID include Student Photo ID Card, Driving Licence with Photo ID or a passport
If students could remember to download and keep a copy of their PLSP and supporting evidence for future information particularly in relation to possible transition to other institutions.

Please note, it is your Council’s decision as to whether they exempt you from Council Tax. Under Council Tax legislation you are required to inform your local authority Council Tax Office if you cease to be eligible for a discount or exemption.
Most full-time students are normally eligible for Council Tax exemption. It is your responsibility to inform the local authority that you are a student and provide them with evidence. You can access a report on UHI Records.

We work with Sector Managers and Subject Leaders to ensure a time-table is ready in advance of your studies commencing, however we cannot guarantee the accuracy of these until your course actually commences.

All students are assigned a PAT. The PATs overall aim is to provide an informed response to academic studies and queries at all points from pre-entry to post-exit. They will focus and support you with regards to your attendance, progression and achievement.

To support the College and the Scottish Government’s Skills for Scotland and Developing the Young Workforce - Scotland’s Youth Employment strategy, 6 months after you have completed your studies we may be in touch with you to catch up on what you are doing now! This contact will be made via telephone and usually in the evening, so it will be useful for you to enter the College number in your phone so you know it is us calling you, 01738 877000.

The College and UHI, when making contact we may do so via text messaging (e.g. to advise if the College is closed due to bad weather) and or email (e.g. to inform you that your results are available for viewing), therefore it is important that you keep your record up to date and look at your student email regularly.

There are drop-in facilities available for students who would like to study on campus. This currently includes the IT Open Access space in the Webster building and room 423 in the Goodlyburn building. There is also study space within the Library which can be booked. If further facilities become available we will update this webpage with information.
