Professional Activities
Hatef joined UHI Perth in 2021 as lecturer in Aircraft engineering. He completed his first-class BSc with Honours in aeronautics and astronautics and first-class MSc with Honours in space propulsion and power units at National Aerospace University in Ukraine.
He has been awarded fully funded James-Watt scholarship from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, UK in 2013 and completed his PhD in physics.
Hatef worked in as design engineer in advanced space propulsion laboratory within National Aerospace University -Ukraine 2007-2012 and as lecturer at National Aerospace University- Ukraine 2009-2012.
He also worked as researcher (2013-2017), lecturer (2017-2019), and research associate (2018-2019) at Heriot Watt University, as research fellow for the Centre for Photonics Expertise founded by Welsh government at University of South Wales (UK) 2019-2021.

- Chair of Hall Thruster Materials on 32nd international electric propulsion conference, Wiesbaden - Germany.
- Chair of the young innovators workshop, West Azerbaijan - Iran.
