"an empowering experience"

"The MSc Sustainable Mountain Development was a dynamic and transformative programme of study for me. Living in a mountain region, the relevance of the course material resonated in my life. I was amazed to find the very things we studied during the week come to life before my eyes as farmers, conservationists, shepherds, hiking tourists, etc. brought up these same themes and topics, turning my studies into an invigorating living-learning experience. The programme also gave me a useful wider perspective for my mountain based business, and learning about the new work of organizations and individuals addressing mountain issues globally lent me a more positive world outlook. Altogether this degree is an empowering experience."
