Treetops Training Restaurant
Some of the country's most celebrated chefs, including Andrew Fairlie from Andrew Fairlies at Gleneagles and Tom Kitchin from The Kitchin in Edinburgh, have learned to cook at UHI Perth.
We take great pride in our student's training - combining academic learning with practical, hands-on experience in our on-campus kitchens and restaurants, including our award-winning Treetops Training Restaurant.
We believe our students deserve the best environment to develop their skills, which is why we ensure the practical training is as authentic and industry-focused as possible. Our strong connections with hospitality professionals further enhance the learning experience, equipping our students with the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in some of the industry's top hotels.
Students on professional cookery and hospitality courses make it all happen. They do everything from providing you with a warm welcome to preparing and serving the dishes, using as much local and healthy produce as possible. These delicious meals are available at affordable prices during term-time, so book your table early!
For Term 2025-26, our Treetops Training Restaurant is open:
- Tuesday Dinner: 5:30 - 9pm (Booking times between 5:30 - 6:30pm)
- Wednesday Lunch: Noon - 2pm (Booking times between noon and 12:45pm)
- Friday Lunch: Noon - 2pm (Booking times between noon and 12:45pm)

Real Experience
As well as the chance to work in fine dining with the public in our Treetops Training Restaurant, our students also get to work in our Food Court. This is a fast-paced restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals to staff and students, run in a unique partnership with Aramark. The experience our students gain here equips them to succeed in any workplace.
