Cyber Careers Event
Scotland’s Careers Advisers boost their cyber know-how during CyberScotland Week
An event held during CyberScotland Week aimed to support Scotland’s Careers Advisers in developing their understanding of cyber careers.
Supported by the Scottish Government, the Routes to Cyber Careers event in early March was supported by the Cyber Community of Practice - an academic community which is composed of lecturers delivering programmes of study in Cyber Security in colleges and universities across Scotland.
Ian Turnbull, UHI Perth Computing Lecturer explained: “This was an excellent opportunity for over 90 Careers Advisors across Scotland to hear from experts from Industry and Academia about the breadth of roles and routes to careers in Cyber Security.
Learners from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences will benefit from being alerted to the interesting opportunities available to them in the sector.”
