Keynote Speaker announced for Regional Employer Event
Alison Edgar MBE has been announced as Keynote Speaker at a prestigious event on Tuesday 30 May.
In partnership with Perth and Kinross Council (PKC) Skills and Employability Team and DWP, we are hosting a free Community Jobs Fayre and Regional Employer Event at our Crieff Road campus to connect the community with local businesses and students.
Alison is an expert in improving performance inside organisations. Throughout her years advising entrepreneurial businesses, she has discovered important factors that make them successful.
Having mentored some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, from start-ups to multi-million-pound turnovers and a recognised expert in the field of entrepreneurship and business, she’s often called upon to comment on news and government legislation that impacts the business community.
Her keynote speech will delve into her years of research surrounding what makes top performers feel like they are running their own business. She is credited as being an expert in “delivering clear business impact, with a human touch and personable approach.” She will also cover ‘Intrapreneurship’ - the act of behaving like an entrepreneur inside of a wider organisation. This is an ideal opportunity for small businesses to support employees with a motivational training session.
The Community Jobs Fayre is ideal for anyone interested in a career change or looking for employment. It aims to bring together job seekers and employers, with over 30 local businesses including Gleneagles, Kilmac, Azets and Live Active Leisure showcasing a wide range of job opportunities across various industries.
This event aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, creating a dynamic environment for recruitment and networking, whether a fresh graduate, seasoned professional, student looking for part-time work or someone looking to switch careers.
The Community Jobs Fayre and Regional Employer Event on Tuesday 30 May, 9am – 3pm will be held at the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing, UHI Perth and is free and open to everyone.
