Former Perth College UHI student wins ‘Beautician of the Year’

Former HND Beauty Therapy student Jessica Elliot won ‘Beautician of the Year’ at the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards held in Glasgow earlier this month.

Since leaving college in 2014 Jessica started her own business, Jessica Jay Salon in Perth, which offers a range of beauty treatments. 

Jessica Elliot commented: “I’m delighted to win this award. This would not have been possible without my fabulous clients but also Suzanne and the lecturers at Perth College UHI who showed me the ropes.”

Suzanne Miller, Sector Manager for Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing and Wellbeing, Perth College UHI, said: “We were delighted to hear about Jess’s success. It’s fantastic to see her talent recognised on a national level and we wish her all the best for the future.
