Research and Innovation Hub opened
Perth College UHI Research and Innovation Hub has been officially opened by Dr Margaret Cook, Principal, and Professor Donna Heddle, Vice-Principal Research University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), who discussed the importance of research.
Margaret explained: “The Research and Innovation Hub aims to support staff who wish to further their research within the College - including a programme of support and guidance for early career researchers.”
Dr David Gourley, Head of Learning and Teaching Enhancement, Perth College UHI added: “This is an important milestone for Perth College UHI, emphasising a strong commitment to cultivating a vibrant research culture.
“The Hub has been set up to expand, develop and sustain existing and emerging research within the College and the wider UHI. It will reflect a wide range of research areas and interests from business studies, environmental studies, creative industries, Viking studies, literature, music, education studies, and digital technologies.
“It will also enable a more focused and strategic approach to the way the college researchers work with industry and other external partners; providing a new platform to strengthen existing links and develop new networks and relationships.”
