Student chefs upskill
Perth College UHI Hospitality and Food Studies students took part in an industry ‘Upskill Day’ run by industry leaders Zest Quest Asia, Passion to Inspire and Tilda.
Hosted by City of Glasgow College, students were given the opportunity to gain experience, and smell and taste a selection of infused rice combinations from the Tilda professional range.
Ype van der Schaaf, Sector Manager of Hospitality and Food Studies at Perth College UHI said: “Students going into the hospitality industry very much benefit from getting hands-on tasting, smelling and working with ingredients. This event was a great opportunity to make the most of a very important cooking ingredient. Thanks to everyone involved in giving our students this opportunity.”
