Students embark on Health and Social Care career
Perth College UHI Health and Social Care Academy students celebrated the end of their course with an event in the Gallery Training Restaurant.
The 10-week course was run in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council and The Scottish Government.
Comprising of five weeks in college and five weeks out on placement, the programme allowed the students to develop a knowledge and understanding of theory and concepts relating to health and social care. The academy also provided relevant practical skills for a successful student to work within the Health and Social Care sector at an introductory level.
Jacqui Allison, Subject Leader - Health and Wellbeing explained: “We are thrilled that the students are now going on to paid employment or to further study at Perth College UHI.”
